Lawn Restoration After Sidewalk Construction

Professional lawn restoration following sidewalk construction, repairing disturbed turf and bare soil to restore a healthy, clean and finished residential landscape.

West Hill, Toronto

Project Overview

This residential property required lawn restoration after sidewalk construction left significant areas of turf disturbed along both sides of the newly installed concrete walkway. The construction process had resulted in exposed soil, uneven lawn edges and substantial turf loss throughout the boulevard and front-yard areas immediately surrounding the sidewalk. KCG Outdoor Services restored the affected landscape with a focus on rebuilding a healthy, continuous lawn and creating clean transitions between the new concrete and existing property. The work addressed the disturbed soil and damaged turf throughout the construction zone, allowing the lawn to establish evenly while improving the overall presentation of the frontage. Once established, the restored turf created a dramatic improvement. Previously bare and damaged areas were replaced with dense green lawn, helping integrate the new sidewalk into the surrounding landscape and returning the property frontage to a clean, finished appearance.

Services Provided

  • Lawn Restoration, Turf Repair, Construction Damage Restoration, Soil Preparation, Grass Establishment, Lawn Edge Restoration, Boulevard Repair & Residential Landscape Restoration

Challenges

  • Sidewalk construction had disturbed a long section of established lawn on both sides of the new concrete walkway.
  • The affected areas contained exposed and compacted soil, irregular edges and significant turf loss. The restoration also needed to create a natural transition between the newly installed sidewalk and the remaining established lawn.

Our Solutions

  • The disturbed areas were prepared and restored to encourage consistent turf establishment along the full length of the sidewalk.
  • Particular attention was given to rebuilding the lawn immediately adjacent to the concrete, correcting damaged edges and creating a continuous finished appearance throughout the frontage.
  • The result transformed the construction-affected areas from exposed soil and patchy turf into a dense, healthy lawn that visually reconnects the sidewalk with the surrounding landscape.
